Nerissa Nields

On the last day of the Sunshine City Songwriters Festival, the amazing Nerissa Nields travels from western Massachusetts to perform a Valentine's Day concert! -- Sunday, February 14th 3:00pm, in the Marley Room at the beautiful Museum of Fine Arts. She recently released her 17th album.

Kinky Friedman "The Kinkster"

The Saturday evening show of the festival (February 13th) will feature the one and only KINKY FRIEDMAN at the intimate Craftsman House Gallery! That's right, The Kinkster has just released his first studio album in almost 40 years. The singer-songwriter, cultural satirist, Jewish cowboy, has been busy writing books, rescuing animals, running for Governor of Texas, smoking Kinky Cigars, drinking Man in Black Tequila,…

with Sara Watkins & Anaïs Mitchell

A very special “in the round” Americana evening with Grammy-winning singer/songwriter Patty Griffin (Americana Music Associations' "Artist of the Year" and "Best Album"), master musician Sara Watkins (a founding member of Nickel Creek, also known for her collaborations with John Mayer, the Decemberists and others), and acclaimed singer-songwriter performer Anaïs Mitchell (winner of the Kerrville Folk Festival’s New Folk Award).  This special “singers-in-the-round” style show features all three artists on stage together, sharing songs and accompanying each other for the entire evening.  

Special thanks to The Mahaffey Theater for partnering with the Festival on this one. These three are going to sound so good in this theater!

Cliff Eberhardt with Louise Mosrie

Cliff Eberhardt headlines the second show of the Sunshine City Songwriters Festival! Known for his songwriting, guitar playing, and soulful voice, Cliff is one of the "most engaging and entertaining performers in the folk music universe." Louise Mosrie - one of "the brightest young folk-oriented artist to emerge from Nashville in many a year" will open the show. This concert will be at St. Petersburg's beautiful Palladium Theater.

Originally from England, Zoe now resides in Provincetown on Cape Cod, MA, where she performs every summer. ZOË LEWIS is a band in a body! She plays jazz, jump jive, latin grooves, swing, international folk, funk originals on anything from the piano to the spoons! Troubadour, vaudevillian, storyteller, adventurer, singer-songwriter! Winner of the Colorado Rocky Mountain Folks Festival Troubadour Award in 2003, New Folk Winner 2002 at the Kerrville Folk Festival in Texas, and 2001 Falcon Ridge Folk Festival Audience Favorite.

ZOË has performed all over the world with an array of incredible musicians and has toured with Judy Collins, Nanci Griffith, Pat Benetar, and The Indigo Girls. And now she will kick off the inaugural Sunshine City Songwriters Festival, performing at The Hideaway Cafe in St. Petersburg, Florida!
